Hey all, I had to share this with all of you since I have tested this card and "I can't believe it's not butter"
There is a bigger and better card out there now called "eurodirect" and it is AMAZING. Get's you no less than 160 minutes (2hrs and 40 mins.) to U.S.A., Canada, Australia and just about all of Europe for 6 Euros!!!
Comes to about 3.75 eurocents/minute, unbeatable!!!
Here it is...
It would just so happen that yours truly is a full fledged distributor of this card and you can get yours at my brand spankin new offices in Madrid, see my EUROPHONECARDS WEBSITE for all the details. Click HERE
And of course all multimadridians get the 6 Euro card for 5.50 (brings the rate down to 3.4 cents/min.)
BTW: my appologies to "D" (to conserve anonimity), AKA board member "aldridged".
He came in the other day to buy a few calling cards and I totally forgot that I had promised the 6 eurodirect cards to all multimadridians for 5.50 each.
"D", I owe you 1 Euro as you bought 2 cards and I charged you 12 Euros instead of 11.
I know you said you would probably come back for more on Monday, please remind me of the Euro I owe you in case I should forget.
Anyone else coming from multimadrid, please remind me to give you the "enchufado" price (that "enchufado price" thing will be our secret password ).
Can you get that rate when calling to US cell phones too? I'm just asking because I know when I call Spain with a C.C. it's much much much more expensive when calling to a movil.
Thanks,
mIkey

I just got the news from the manufacturer of the "eurodirect" calling card and starting this weekend the rate has dropped from 3.5 urocents per minute to 3 cents
So, the 6 Euro card, when used with the toll free access #s, now gets you 200 minutes from a land line (payphone or private phone) in Spain to a...
land line or cell phone in USA, Canada and Australia. land line in most of Europe.
They also added many far eastern countries including China to the list of 3 cent/min countries.
This will be the rate until further notice, no strings attached and still no connection fees and the rate drops even MORE to 2.75 cents/minute if you come to buy them at my office since I still sell the 6 cards for 5.50 each
Hola a todos! I have a calling card question for my upcoming trip to Europe, but- the trip does not include Spain, so I hope you'll still answer me
The Eurodirect card looks amazing. Do you know if is available for purchase and use in other European countries? (And ideally with the same great rates.) I'll be in Paris, Prague, and Venice in December and am looking for a card to call home with. If it is avaiable outside of Spain, I assume access numbers would be different, no?
On another note, I read the posts about Telefonica's new surcharge on calling cards used from public payphones. Anyone know if this has also occured in other parts of western Europe?
What do you think the likelyhood is that when I arrive in January that these rates will remain the same? I'm thinking of purchaing a couple in advance.
