Hola everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows of shops in Madrid that sell ballet or other types of dance shoes. I am thinking of taking a dance class in Madrid and was told by la Profesora that Id need to get some.

Muchas gracias,

Stephanie (minmay)

You might want to try
MATY on C/ Hileras, 7 telephone: 5412016 or
C/ Maestro Victoria, 2 Telef. 5313291

I was there this weekend buying a flamenco dress and I saw a lot of dance shoes. Hope this helps.

Summer 2001 saw my daughters 6th birthday. She is a keen dancer at home and had been interested in looking at Spanish dresses for some time.

We were in Madrid in on her actual Birthday, and we saw Maty , but I was reluctant to go in as it looked so serious and formal.

However, I need not have fretted. We were allowed to look around at our leisure until we decided we needed help. This help came in the shape of a really lovely lady attendant who was patient with my (non-existant really) Spanish and treated my daughter like a princess, allowing her to try on whichever dresses she wanted Smiler

When the final dress was decided upon (pink naturally Roll Eyes , although I liked the green one), the assistant presented my daughter with a matching silk flower for her hair.

We left the shop feeling very happy Smiler But it's my turn next time Wink

ps I had a quick look at the men's trousers pim - interesting items Eeker

Spike1

I'm confident that they wont do anything in your size! Eeker

But I'm also pretty sure that they would do a special order for you if you use your special shoe shop charms! Wink :l:

Green shoes? Spike1 the pixie? :jeje:

Thanks so much for the information! MATY looks like a good bet, but I will probably stop by the other stores as well (just for fun).
