I’m in the process of trying to find all the information I can on Leroy Merlin, head office address, directors names & anything else that anybody might feel is of use.

I’m in the middle of reforming my house & bought a lot of things in July with a delivery date at the end of July (August in Spain is not always fun). All that I bought took weeks to arrive, had to cancel plumbers & tillers because the materials didn’t arrive. The last of the tiles arrived today & so I have now decided to start writing lots of letters to the people at the top. I want to be a pain in somebody’s neck, in fact lots of people’s necks.

I’m looking at Spain for the moment but I am quite happy to start writing to France too if I get nowhere here.

Any information any one can give would be of help & I will say thank you in advance.

JM

JohnM,

The head office address can be found at https://www.leroymerlin.fr/mpng2-front/pre?zone=zonecon...coordonnee&pageid=22. Perhaps there is someone here who speaks French that would know how to find and navigate the French company register (assuming such a beast exists).

Good luck

Grant,
Thank you, it is a Start, but not one that I was planning on until alter I have had a go at the Spanish head office. My Spanish is bad but my French (only written French) is positively horrendous, which might of course just be the line to take, it frightens me it might just frighten them. Seriously though, I did have really bad problems with telefonica & after over two months of madness wrote to all fourteen directors & the response was quite simply incredible. The idea is to by-pass the little people that will tell you lies & go right to the top, which may sound like a go no where idea but having had it work once…..
My campaign only started today so I will wait a day or two more to see if anybody has any ideas about addresses in Spain.
Thank you again.

John

Sorry I had assumed you were looking for the mothership. The Iberian head office can be found at http://www.leroymerlin.es/mpng2-front/pre?zone=zonestat...resa/es/oficinas.htm. I might be able to get you some names as some colleagues of mine have worked with LM France. Although if you Google for "registro de empresas" there appear to be some sites that might give you that infomration.

regards

Grant,
Sorry not to get back to you, I have been away for the weekend plus a little. I needed to get away from this building site. Thank you for your help, & I am beginning to think that going for France is going to have to be the way to go. Now I am about to “construct” a letter. Waiting until the final part of the delivery arrived has taken off the edge, which is most likely for the best, I think a sense of betrayal might be the way to go. We will see.

Thank you again for all your help.
John

You might also go to the store that did this to you and ask for a "hoja de reclamaciones" at the customer service desk. They are required to keep them on hand. It´s a triplicate form: one goes to them, one to the regional Consumer office, and you keep one.

I don´t think it has any really strong legal power, as it depends on the good faith of businesses and businessmen concerned with their community reputation. But I can attest that the one Hoja I filed last year really got some notice!
