Well I buy all my jeans in GAP kids!!! I am so short and it is just not the same if you have to turn a pair of jeans up. Especially if you have bought a pair with a 12" bottom. By the time they are turned up they are at least 15", and they have lost that "jeans bottom look" if you know what I mean . So last year I bought Age 14 GAP boys jeans. This year unfortunately, I had to buy Age 16!!!

Adrian, first of all, allow me to flirt with you. I'll be in Madrid on the 26th. Want some personal shopping assistance? Okay, now that's out of the way, I feel your pain. I did some shopping during my last trip to Spain, and all I came home with was a purse and some food. The jeans there would not allow my arm, not to mention my leg. I am no heifer, but I am obviously no Spanish maiden, either. My suggestion would be to shop online, or wear a kilt! Can you get away with that in Madrid?

Blimey, that's more advice than you can shake a stick at! It seems I will have revisit Zara, H&M etc when I know how to say "can you just take this bit in, let this bit out, do the hokey-cokey and that's a damn a good fit!" in Spanish. Tev, congrats on being the first girl I've heard use the camel toe reference (definitely a case of TMS). Somehow goat's foot seems a little harsher. I have just spent my first evening in my new H&M pants and they have left my muffins undamaged and breezy (considering it must be 25 degrees+ here at 1am I'm fairly satisfied with that). Pim, unless the Spanish have an astonishing amount of puppy-fat (which they eliminate by smoking 40-a-day when they turn 16) I'm not sure the kids stuff will help. For yourself, are you referring to those adult nappies I've seen advertised on the bus shelters? Is it just me, or is that just underwear for REALLY lazy people? As to wearing the tartan, it is remarkably comfortable but having that much wool on might prove fatal in Madrid in August. If you want kilts galore then click the link! I'm the sexy beast in the middle. Mermaid, I NEVER say no to flirting, but that don't make me easy (as Jer "Mind the Gap" Reines will concede... ) But thankyou for asking first - I will check my dance card for when you come to town! BTW Jer, you claim that Scottish birthright more than me - we should get you kitted/kilted out some time. Hoots all round, mon!

you guys is CRAZY!!! i always shopped at LEFTYS which have the clothes that don't get sold in ZARA (i'm both cheap and sad i suppose). and well i just rolled up the pants legs which admittedly looks ridiculous to most people there, but the larger size always left plenty of room for my muffins.

Teeeeheeee!!! First time I heard the word "nappies" was when I went to visit my also ex-pat brother in UK. They had just had a son and my bro's "Bird" (British gal) Leah asked my bro to pass her a "nappy" as she was changing my nephew. Damned if I did'nt just about hand her a napkin :jeje: :jeje: :jeje: Live n learn!!! Saludos, jer... p.d. Adult diapers (nappies) would be them bladder control ones for older people.
