Hey Sensis, surely lena has been meaning to get back here to this thread but just so yo know, the map you directed her to at http://www.geocities.com/congregacionsanisidro/planotex2.jpg was a big success at the presentation she had to find it for
If I find it I'll post it here and let you know where I got it. We will be looking for it because we do want a hard copy to hang here in the office somewhere. Jer, thanks for the report on the presentation, it did look good didn't it? It was projected onto a large screen on a power point presentation. We also had some pictures and paintings of old Madrid and due to my total idiocy we didn't have better pictures of modern Madrid that we could have used if I had only thought of Jer and all the images and multimedia he has. Still beating my head against the wall for that one. dumb lena, dumb lena . . . We need a graemlin that beats its head against a brick wall, something that will effectively portray frustration or that "I'm an idiot" feeling. Il Muffino?
Hi Sensis and anybody else interested in getting a hard copy of that map or any other, my colleague in charge of acquisitions here at the office found a great store that has the Texeira map (we bought it, it is quite gorgeous) and many other maps and posters. I haven't had a chance to visit the store myself but from seeing what she bought and what she said, it sounds like quite a treat. Here's the info: Mapas Perseo Fdz de los Ros 95
Went there looking for a map of the Normandy coast. They didn't have anything so they ordered me a Michellin guide with all historical landmarks + a guide to the invasion.
Excellent store. Once again mm rocks.
