Just thought it was appropriate to introduce myself. I'm moving to Madrid in June (hopefully) to take the Windsor Institute TEFL course. Then I'll be in Spain to hang out and live!! I'm really excited. I can't wait to meet everyone at one of the events. I'll definitely keep checking back in. Oh one question, anyone have any leads to acting agents in Spain? Nice to meet you all.
I have some okay advice on my website in the acting section. I am currently updating it. It should be enough to get you started for now as you must go around and register with as many agencies as you can for free as you never know which one of them will be the one that sends on on the majority of auditions. Just use the Cineguia or Union de Actores publication to make a list and keep making the rounds droping off you headshots until the auditions start coming in. Rocco.

After you take your Windsor course will you let us know how it went? I am trying to come back to Spain and I want to know if it is "worth it" to take a TEFl course or not. I know, everyone has their own opinioms on this topic.

If I decide to take a course I will definitely let everyone know how it went. I'm still trying to make a decision on whether or not to take the course because I get mixed views/opinions on having or not having a certificate. I did find another program that is more reasonable in price and guarantees a job. They're called Canterbury English. Check it out! I sent my application in today. I think the best thing to do is try and survive without a TEFL for a couple of months and if it's not working out, then hop into a program. We'll see how that works.
Hey Good Luck with it all Salsera! Just joined here and yours was the first I read. God I miss Madrid. I'm sure I don't have to tell where the best salsa joints were? ;-) I used to hit Club Tropicana (one of the best) and Barnon. I dont even know if all those joints are still open... hopefully I'll make it back this summer and update myself...LOL. Boy did I used to get into trouble... LOL...
You guys have fun. In the mean time I'll be out here doin' it CALI style...
Hasta luego...

Thanks for the salsa club info. I actually don't know of any salsa clubs out there. I was going to look into that once I got there. You made my research easier. Thanks! Hopefully those clubs are still open. We'll see.
Do you remember seeing any professionals while you were there? Catch any names? Just thought I'd ask. As you know, the salsa scene is huge in Cali. So, I need to find some salseros as soon as I arrive in Madrid! Finding a place to live and a job will be 2nd and 3rd on the list!
