OK, there is El Boar on cl. Cruz Verde 16....I haven't been there yet myself, but everybody tells me it's the place where they give lots of free tapas (big as 'raciones') with each drink  It's typical food and sounds really worth trying out....Elizabeth?, Jamie?

I USED to go to El Boar (see the thread HERE), they do give plentiful tapas but beware the massive cockroaches Eeker Eeker

Yes, I know, many restaurants have them but I prefer the ones that keep 'em outa sight and off the plates.

Okay chicas,
We have a plan. Meet at Jamie's bookstore at 9ish.

J and J Books and Coffee
C. Espiritu Santo, 47
Metro: Noviciado

As for the drinkies afterwards, I am fine with whatever ya'll suggest. Also as I am from New Orleans I am used to cockroaches the size of poodles, with wings. But that might make others squeamish.

Any suggestions Jamie????

Oh, I'll post my cell now in case there is any last minute plan changing to do. 610 064 964.

See ya'll then.
xoxo C

Hi. I cant wait to meet everybody! Wow. This sounds like a lot of fun. Ok so for tapas afterwards, the plaza dos de Mayo is close by and there are a ton of places there. I like the Blue Fish, but it tends to be a little expensive, since the caa is 1,50 when most places it is 1. But the food is great if you decide you want some raciones. But in the Plaza there are alot of fun places to go. Hope that helps. And thanks for all the mm people who have come to visit so far! You guys are great.

Yeah Jamie, we used to do some Sunday brunches at Bluefish (thread HERE). It was 5 Euros for each brunch plate. Good food indeed but not exactly big portions.

Only problem was that it was COOOOOOLLLLDDD in there Eeker Do you know if they have gotten their heat (or lack thereof) problem under control??? Confused

If they have, we may be ready for another brunch soon Big Grin

Anyway, I would REALLY appreciate it if you could all set a place to be "tapeando" and/or "bebiendo" from like 9:30 to 10:30pm. I will not make it at 9:00 to the bookshop and that will avoid my (and others) having to call you guys on cells that may not be heard. All we need is for you to post a place and give an hour or so window to meet up with you, you know, like we usually do with get-togethers.

Oh yeah, Jamie, thanks for changing those "MM" for multimadrid to the lowercase "mm"... hint, hint Wink

Saludos,
jer...

p.d. Queensita, you can run but ya can't hide :jeje:

As we have no idea about anywhere . . . Jamie, Ill leave the recommendations to you, if thats ok . . . Well be at the bookshop at 9. Hmm, do we have to carry a big mm sign to make ourselves known? Jer, thats where the mm buttons could come in Big Grin

Really looking forward to seeing you all.

I feel terrible about this, but I've double booked myself for tonight :b: and I can't figure out a way around it. I'm dying to meet Elizabeth and see Jaime's store, but I'll have to do both another time.

I'm sorry Elizabeth. I hope you will be back soon...and have a wonderful time with everyone tonight!
