I promised a couple of mmers a while ago to do something about the list of free classical concerts in Madrid which I compile anyway (in my spare time).
Anyway, if anyones interested, theres a free one tonight in the Conde Duque. Its baroque music, played by performers near the start of their careers. First half: keyboard, second half lutes and the like.
Directions: C/Conde Duque, enter opposite the Plaza de Guardias de Corps. Beyond the bag scanner, go straight across to and up the 10 or so steps youll see. In there, there should be tickets available from 1730. This is a new seat allocation system: it used to be "just show up".
Im aiming to be there between 1850 and 1900. Its always hard to know how popular a gig will be: its possible (though unlikely) that you wont get in if you come.
Metro: Noviciado/San Bernardo/Pza de Espaa
Sorry for the short notice about this, I tried yesterday but there was then a problem with the board. Stephen
