Hiya!! I probably wont meet you, as I am not likely to be in Madrid in the next couple of months, but you are bound to meet new friends if you follow the board. There are get togethers, sports etc etc, so just do a search on anything you are interested in and there will likely be an answer!! This is a great community to belong to!!! What part of asia are you from? And by the way, did you mean to post a poll, or just hit the wrong button

Hi there, and welcome to Madrid, from another Asian! (Asia's big- where are you from? I'm from the Philippines but lived in Hong Kong most of the last eight years, and have travelled through most of Asia.)
I've made quite a few friends through this board. I suggest you check on it from time to time to get information on get-togethers, which tend to happen quite randomly.
One good way to meet people here is to come to volleyball on Sunday afternoon at Parque del Oeste- there's an entire thread about this, do a search using the word "volleyball" and you'll get all the details including a map showing how to get there. Don't worry if you don't play; some people just come to socialize, and it's a very friendly game, not competitive at all.
There are also other sports activities on different days of the week- if you do a search, you'll find the info somewhere on this board.
One great thing about this board is that virtually all activities are open to anyone, and people are very friendly. When I arrived here I knew no one; I've met some great people through this board.
Good luck, hope to meet you soon.
