What are some things, meetings and / or get togethers someone new to Madrid can go to if they want to meet other expats or have social intercambios / language exchanges?

I know the regular get togethers are really cool, but are there any special get togethers during the day or out of town or for hiking, biking or any other cool group activities as well?

There are nightime commando raids over the old roman road from Rascafria to La Granja, frontline at Reventon, change passwords and leave I.D. Travel light and Luis in 'Bar Castilla', Plza de los Dolores gives a jug o'beer to successful infiltrants.

There is no such thing as too many pints, and what I said was true, well except for the password and I.D.

okay! I want to hang out with TubbyMurphy!!! Why don't you plan the next mm partee Tub...Please!

As for meeting friends etc Madrid Insider...I would refer you to on www.madrid-insider.com page!

He he hehehe. No, silly boy. Open up the In Madrid or the Broadsheet and just look at the hundreds of ads.

Whether you are interested in playing tennis, practicing Finnish, running through the woods, acting, writing, whatever...I have seen it all in these classifieds.

But you already know this, so why are you asking....?

Okay. Okay. I guess everyone was wondering why I of all people would ask this question...
Well, I was just trying to bring new life to the thread about the www.multimadrid.com Barbeque, since a lot of people who are new in town may not of heard about it.
I was just trying to get Jer to post new information and an invite to all of the new mm'ers who may have overlooked the totally super long bbq thread and would possibly miss out on all of the fun.
BTW - I have gotten back my original www.madridinsider.com domain name and now have it both with and without the "-".
Rocco.

Here is a way to add life and interest to the BBQ... I have a 30 y.o. student... GUAPA ... who is interested in possibly attending the BBQ. However, she wants to know if there will be any tall, blond males in attendance. She is tall.

So, if you are tall and blond (nationality irrelevant) and havent signed up for the BBQ, now is the time to do so!!!

:ks:

I know you meant well but no need Rocco, everyone who is anyone is already "in the know" about THE Q Cool

ALSO, I WANT TO KEEP THE BARBQ TALK ON THE BARBQ THREAD!!!. IT DOES NOT TAKE A GENIOUS TO JUST JUMP TO THE LAST PAGE OF THE THREAD AND GET THE LATEST INFO ON THE Q.

BTW: That is "multimadrid", one word and all in lowercase letters Roll Eyes Thought you were enough of a seasoned board member to know that, geeeeeesh!!! Roll Eyes
