Hi all, we have decided to do brunch this Sunday, Feb. 2nd at "bluefish", a restaurant here in Madrid that has been talked up on this board and in many other places (see the thread HERE for more).

bluefish apparently has a good old American brunch for about 5 Euros, french toast , scrambled eggs , etc...

The restaurant is on C/. San Andr�s #26 (just off Plaza del Dos de Mayo). Closest Metro stop is "Tribunal".

We are going to meet there between 1:00 and 1:15 pm in order to get a big table (or at least a bunch of little ones put together).

EVERYONE IS INVITED so if you want to join us, please be there by 1:15pm, no need to RSVP or anything, just show up

I am going to try to come to brunch tommorrow and if so I will have a friend with me. (I used to do Sunday brunch ALL THE TIME in Boston/Cambridge and I would be so happy to find a good brunch place here.) I look forward to meeting everyone!

Brunch was GREAT! The scrambled eggs and veggies rocked as did the mimosas! And of course, the best was the company. Great meeting you all and I meant to dole out my cell number but forgot...could it have been the mimosas? anyway, stephanie, tia, tevia, and all if you ever want to catch a drink or a flick, call me on 610 064 964! As you are starting to learn, I am always up for going about!

The best brunch I have had out in Spain so far (also the only one ).

Thanks to all for singing Happy Birthday to me and overall, thanks for not putting the "you smell like a monkey and you look like one too" phrase into the song :jeje:

I am up for doing this again, maybe make it a monthly event at bluefish but am also open to other restaurant suggestions if anyone finds another place that does brunch, just to cary a bit.

I also got the feeling that a lot of the ladies at brunch were freezing their tootsies off, maybe they will crank up the heat next time.

One more suggestion for the bluefish brunch would be... MORE BACON with the dishes!!!

Jeez, Jer, you don't smell like a monkey at all! As for the looks, you are pretty furry. Happy belated birthday; I think you are a prime number now? Does bluefish specialize in bluefish(sardines, anchovie, etc?) as well as tasty cocktails?

bluefish is just the name, they do not specialize in fishies at all.
