This might not be the type of post you had in mind jer, but heck, this is how I spent the early part of All Hallows Eve. I had to go and have another minor op, this time on my foot.

I walked into the surgery and the doctor was wearing a witches hat and cloak and had blacked out some teeth. Her husband (the receptionist) was wearing a pumpkin on his head, and the whole waiting room was decked out with candles and pumpkin heads!!!!

Their explanation was that they were going onto a party when they closed the surgery and didnt have time to go home to change!!!

We celebrated Halloween on Thursday with a party for 11 kids from the building and the colegio. It was so cute seeing them in their costumes. They hated everything I cooked cause theyd never had things like Rice Krispy treats before, but they were incredibly well behaved for being ages 4-6. We made ghosties out of tissues, played pin the nose on the pumpkin and hot potato. Then had telepizza and kicked em out!

I spent the actual DAY of halloween (JER STOP READING RIGHT NOW) in the line to meet Rosa at El Corte Ingles. It was so incredibly FUN! Screw the signing... we just had a great time being together. Saw friends that I havent seen since July and others since last Christmas plus I made lots of new ones. and Im apparently famous in the Rosa circle... This girl Ana that I met THAT MORNING was talking to her friend that I dont know on her cell and she said, "Im here with my friend from New York" and the girl on the other line said, "Oh, you mean Melinda!" IT WAS SCARY. One of the people I knew from last Christmas invited me to Granada... she has a house there and as soon as we all have a free weekend were getting a group and heading down to relax and have a big party. Overall it was a great day, despite the crappy weather, and I had more fun being in the line than actually meeting Rosa. Im gonna go to the one in Las Rosas next week just to sit in line with everyone... Cant go to the signing cause I have to work in the afternoon. Afterwards an American friend of mine wanted to see Freddy vs Jason as a joke but it was too far away from where we were eating, so we ended up seeing The Human Stain since Ive been Anthony Hopkins biggest fan since age 3. She loved it... I was a bit disappointed because Im a big fan of the author and I think they left a lot of important details out.

Anyway, that was my Halloween... It was a lot of fun Smiler And very unamerican... which I didnt mind at all.

Melinda

Hey I've got a great Halloween pix of three toiling boiling mm witches. But how do I post it? It is a jpeg. I've looked over the FAQs, but can't find the answer.
