I imagine there will be footy while I'm away in July and August, someone else will organise it.

As for this week, no footy on Wednesday as I'm doing another speed dating night Wednesday, so we're going to organise it for Thursday instead, check the board tomorrow evening for details and to sign up.

there is a football sala pick-up game this wed., july 12th from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the polideportivo vallehermoso, avenida de filipinas 25(ish).

usually costs about 2-4 euros per person (depending on how many players we are).

no need to be a pelé to join the fun.

if you are afraid of not finding the place, i can meet you at 6:00pm in sol and we can head over together.

if you are worried about dying from heat exaustion, no fear, it is a covered pitch and not under the killer sun

while we always have full games (thanks to EnglishPilot and the others who organize them), i must say i am surprised more mm-ers do not show up for these games. there have got to be tons of you out there who are in madrid and who like to play soccer, right?

maybe nobody sees this thread? so, i am featuring it accross the board, can't miss it now

so far we are 7 to play, we need 3 more to have a good game with 5 a side and the max. players will be limited to 18 total (3 teams of 6).

oh, i am not the one who organizes the games but i am guessing that ladies are welcome (although none have ever shown up).

Jer, ladies are always welcome to show up. We used to have several girls (who played football/soccer back in the US) turn up to our Wed and Sat kick abouts!

As you know, it is not a serious sporting event, it is more for exercise than anything and people of all skill levels can be found there...come on down if you can!
