hey EnglishPilot, good to hear about the ankle.

well, talk to lee (spelling?), from what i remember, he asked who was in for next sunday at the end of the game yesterday and only 3 people (approx.) said they would be around.

he collected some cash from the newbies and some of the regulars who did not pay you last week for yesterdays game but i don't think he collected in advance for next week.

again, check with lee to be sure.

saludos,
jer...

Well it appears my ankle isn't healing as well as I thought, as it started getting worse on Monday I thought I better seek medical attention and the doctor informed me that I had torn two ligaments in my foot, it's now very heavily bandaged up and I have to leave it bandaged for the next 3 weeks, so there goes my entry into the San Silvestre and obviously any football plans for the next 3 weeks.

But I think there will still be a match next Sunday, I think the plan is for everybody to turn up at the normal time and pay to play there is normally availability at that time.

I shall be there but only in a spectating capacity, I should be fit again to play on Sunday 16th January.

Donring, unfortunately it was an unfortunate coincidence, I would have much rather have played football than watch the dross that is Aston Villa lose embarrasingly again to the Blues.

so, how did it go yesterday?

i could not make it, spent the day decorating a tree and preparing for the family holiday visit (getting invaded from u.s.a. and uk).

EnglishPilot, let us know when the next game will be after the holiday break, jan. 9th or 16th.

saludos,

Well apparently only 8 people went to football on Sunday, still not too bad for the week before Christmas.

The next match will be on Sunday 16th January, same time, same place, hopefully I will have recovered from my "esguince" and be back to full goal scoring potency...

Have a great Christmas and New Year everybody.

Football Sala is on again this weekend folks.

Sunday 9th January 2005, 2pm, Polideportivo Vallecas, Calle Payaso Fofo, Metro Portazgo, Line 1.

Please be there 5 minutes before as we need to pay for the pitch before playing.

See you there hopefully.

If it's an all comers game I've definitely got nothing better to do Sunday afternoon...

hey EnglishPilot, you takin us to the cleaners or what?

it would seem samuelv has a lead on a polideportivo that charges much less for it's footy pitches. might want to look into that.

saludos,

SamuelV,

Yes it's an allcomers game, so see you there on Sunday.

Jer, sorry about the short notice, I should have posted earlier. Also taking you to the cleaners, that's a slur on my good name sir Roll Eyes Big Grin

Seriously, if anyone knows of any cheaper Polideportivos with availability then be my guest and arrange it, as long as they are within Zone A, I'm not trapsing out to Alacala de Henares or anywhere like that!

Hi folks, Football will be on Saturday from now on. I am going to book the pitch tomorrow night, so I will post the time when I have reserved it.

Location will be the same place for the time being, Polideportivo Vallecas, Calle Payaso Fofo, Metro Portazgo (Line 1)

Jer, SamuelV, I rang the Polideportivo in La Elipa to check availability and pricing and they didn't have anything before 7.30pm on Saturday evening, which I guess is too late for most people and also the price is the same as we pay in Vallecas 36 per hour with lights, 29 without for the whole Pabellon Polideportivo, perhaps if you only book a section of the Pabellon then it works out cheaper, otherwise unless you have 30 people playing I can't see how it works out at around 1 Euro per head.

This sounds fun. I will be available for 2 Sundays in March if this keeps up!
I am Irish and play like sh... but I love the game so much it's painful. I will bring my indoor boots and no shin guards.
I hope that Jer can make it then.
Great work EnglishPilot Cool
