Hi guys,

I should answer a few of your questions.

SUE - the site was down for 36 hours, sorry about that.

HOLAAAAAA - I read the Join me book last weekend, I had started my campaign 3 months prior to reading it. However, i did read YES MAN by the same author and I think it would be fair to say that his method of living inspired me to do this campaign.

I am currently marketing the site on msn myspace and have had a good response, so hopefully people will pluck up the courage to go and meet strangers for a brew.

I will stress once more that this is open to ANYONE, not just myself.

p.s we also have a forum now: http://www.fancyabrew.net/forum nutz

JER - the brew idea is not stolen, it is completely original. However, in the book YES MAN which i read 4 days ago the author puts an advert in a newspaper and says JOIN ME! then he encourages people to send him a passport photo.

Not quite sure that inviting people for a brew and asking for a passport photo constitutes idea theft nah nah but i would be lying if i said the author wasnt an inspiration for the idea.

hey DEANO.

yes, i know all about the join me cul... errrr movement wink as i too am a joinee (a bad one but a joinee nonetheless big grin). i'm actually the joinee who pioneered the movement to do raoks on mondays instead of fridays since monday is more of a day when you need a lift as it is back to work day while friday is the end of the work week and hence, already a "happy day" big grin

have been looking at your site, a bit if feedback...

1- on your homepage you say...

quote:
Once i have confirmed that your entry was a success you will be sent an official Brester certificate via e-mail. You will also gain access to our BREWSTER ONLY forum (coming soon)

... but your forum is already up. may want to delete "(coming soon)" and put in a link to the forum.

2- on the great website ideas review, they stated...

quote:
All you have to do is a have a brew (tea or beer) with a total stranger,...

but on your forums, there is a coffee mug and it looks as if a brew is a coffee. can you clarify what it is we need to meet people for. i mean, what is considered a "brew"? beer, tea or coffee? just beer and tea? etc... or can we have any old drink (cuba libre, orange juice, etc...). i know the important part is the meeting and chatting but we need clarification on what we can embibe to qualify brews

3- you should allow people to comment without registering (at least until an idiot posts an assenine comment, then you make it registration only commenting). this will increase the amt. of people willing to comment. i for one was going to comment on the jenny brew meet-up but i had no time to register at the time and just skipped it.

4- is jenny the only one so far? just wondering how the progress is going. have any others sent in pics? maybe you just have not had time to add them.

5- put your menu on all pages. it disappears when one leaves the homepage, making navigation a bit tough.

hope this helps.

saludos,
jer...

Hey deano, interesting idea but I too would like to know if you have had more than 1 "brewer"?

Looks like a slow start? I can't talk since I would not dare to even start somethin if it takes off).

I saw your forum on how to publicize the site. If you came up high on Google when people search for "Brew" you would ber in business!!! big grin
