Wiffle ball was great today.

It looked like it was not going to happen at all as me and holaaa were the only ones there on time and then Fabrizio joined us as we watched sfmike show up with a whole crew of people mostly friends of Adrian and Dom from football sala.

They brought a whole bunch of American girls with them to round out the teams.

There were also a few regulars like Lainey, Heather and Trish as well as another girl with a lot of pep Tracey.

Anyway, a lot of people showed up last minute and we were able to play for atleast 2 hours.

Good stuff.

And Belen forgot to mention that while the girls did jump out to a commanding 10-2 lead, the boys were able to come back and tie it at 13-13. After that, the alcohol took its toll, and we kinda lost track of the score... Smiler

Thanks everyone - it was a really good time! Heck, even the Brits acquited themselves well at such a 'silly American game' Smiler

Hey Mike,

Thanks for setting up the game, we all had a great time.

@jer, now that Mike has been kind enough to leave us with the equipment, we should consider adding this to the regular sunday, summer months, it was great super fun. I wouldn't mind alternating this with volleyball every 2-3 weeks...

The cops went by us a few times, and they didn't have any issue with us playing on the grass either...

Oh, and Mike said that you should leave those beers with me, since you weren't able to get them to him.

hey Fab, ok on the beers thang as long as Mike said it was ok i will take your word for it :jeje: :jeje: :jeje:

but now that they will go to you, it went from guinness to the dia special of the week Red Face

glad you all had a blast.

Mike, thanks for leaving the bat&balls with us, we shall play in your honor for sure Cool

as for rotating wiffle in with vball, may confuse things a bit as the wiffle spot is not the same as the vball spot. will have to think of a way to work wiffle in.

saludos,
jer...

You are right about the confusing things, we could certainly play at the old vball spot to make it easier. I am not sure what is going on with that area though. Since they did put like a bit of fencing around it I've noticed. Either way, let discuss this once we get vball season back on.

Dia beer, fancy!!!

BTW, You know how Gerardo always b!tches about us not playing ball with him? Guess who missed wiffle ball?

:jeje: that Gerardo :jeje:

Rocco told me that the old vball spot has been landscaped and they put in a dirt path and a tree in the middle but he has a new spot that may work. will have to scope it out with him.

The new prospective spot at the Retiro is near the corner of Paseo del Duque de Fernn Nez and Alfonso XII.

If you enter the park by walking up Claudio Moyano you should be able to see it from the Puerta del Angel Caido going towards La Chopera.
