Hey Chica, good question. Sadly , too many disappear from the board once they finally arrive (you all know who you are . It is too bad since that is when they can start participating and helping others who are trying to come over. Initially I understand since they are busy getting settled, looking for work, etc... but so many just fade away forever  Actually, espe3 (AKA "Diana") has been to my office 3 times since she arrived in Spain. She would love to be on the board but has been running mad looking for work this past month (or more?) and has no internet connection at home. Yes, she could pop into a cybercaf and say hi, give us all an update, etc... but we all know that when one is jobless, findiong work comes first. I will let her update us on her job search bur from what she tells me, it is working out ok, she has a few good leads on some great jobs. Saludos, jer...

of course Alcorcon is beautiful. is not grey as Madrid. it is full of green zones all it. parks, trees, .... there is not full of skyscrapers. the houses are about 6 plants. and there is a very big separation betwen buildings creating spacious streets. in the night you dont hear the cars, crouds, shouts,sirens.... you hear peace, and crickets. and what about distance?. i live at 20 minutes from plaza espaa in subway. What more can someone whants?
hi. i am a spanish living in madrid that would love to meet people about 24-35 years old to create a group of friends

"Para gustos, colores." I personally would wither and die in Alcorcon. gonchal, I know you want to improve your English so I will tell you that "houses are about 6 plants" should be "houses are about 6 floors (high)" or "houses are about 6 stories (high)". I live in the dead center of Madrid and here we rarely see a building over 6 floors high as well. Anyway, back to the original topic of this thread. Was simply saying that we already have a good multimadrid group in the city and get togethers are a lot of fun. It will be difficult to get an Alcorcon group together. If you were in Barcelona, Sevilla, Granada, Bilbao, etc..., someplace far from Madrid, I would understand but you are soooo close, just come on into the city and join us Saludos, jer...

Alcorcn isn't ugly, it's a nice place to live, but it's not a beautiful town... in my opinion. It's as good or bad as other suburb cities, similar to Mostoles, Leganes,.... and i do know well Alcorcn since i'm living there for 31 years Unfortunately i'm not the kind of person to meet for improving your english, as you can see i'm not quite good with english. Alcorcon can be a good place to meet for all people living in the south area of Madrid, that's all.

Hi vdiaz, thanks for the input. One thing, I enjoyed your Fallas website but if you click the link in your signature, it is broken. It takes you to http://http://es.geocities.com/activi02/ . You have one too many http:// in there. You may want to go to your profile and fix that. Saludos, jer...
