hey teflesp.

seems a bit exclusive the way you are doing this or am i wrong? if i am wrong, i appologies.

do you plan to post a time and day here and anyone who wants to play can show up? (like we do with volleyball).

if so, fine but if not, this is not the place to anounce this.

saludos,
jer...

I see what you mean Yer , but no it's not exclusive . I think this is the best way to get a definate turn up at the practice . We now have about 10 - 14 people and as soon as we decide upon a time and location it will be posted here so anyone can turn up .
No need for i appologies big grin

Radiophonic, as i said to Rob above, please post the time/s and day/s here so all can participate.

otherwise it seems like an exclusive event and i will have to delete it.

Hi there .
Basketball was quite a success last week with 10 of us managing to turn up for practice . This week promises to be even better with more people getting in contact ( sorry for those who did'nt know where to go .)
Because it's so new and I am so busy , we need indoor and outdoor court suggestions on where we can practice . Last week was at Parque Del Oueste , but it now only has one hoop .
Still undecided where to practice this week but should post somewhere by Friday .
Check out ;

Hola
What about the courts at the Polideportivo near m. Pacifico? They have some of the best indoor courts around.

Also, what ever happened to indoor Vollyball?

Check it out:

Here's the link discussing the Polideportivo

hey Tony, good to hear from ya.

nobody wanted to organize it. it is all very easy when it is free but all the indoor courts charge and nobody wanted to take charge of reserving the court (you have to pay the moment you reserve). so, if you want it for 2 hours at 25 euro/hour (normally even more for the indoor courts), somoene has to dish out a 50. then they must hope enough people show to make it reasonably priced for each player. it is my experience however that once people realize they have to pay even a few euros, they back out frowner

EnglishPilot (Rob) does a good job at organizing football sala twice a week. usually comes to between 1.50 and 3 euros per head for a few hours play but he sticks to outdoor pitches as much as possible as they are cheaper than indoor and the cooler weather does not really affect football.

see http://futbolmadrid.proboards49.com/index.cgi for his "footy board".

so, since nobody has offered to organize indoor, we break for winter as we did before.

saludos,
jer...
