Ok, it's about time to do one of these, it's been ages since I've seen some of you, I bet Lync is already taller than I am, which isn't much but still, and I haven't even met Ian yet. So, how about a get together? I'm partial to Thursdays because on the weekends we do have Stefan's chilluns and not as much freedom to move around (they're not babies that can get entertained going from person to person and likely to get bored and frustrated, or worse, learn some incredible English vocabulary, specially if Shawn and I sit anywhere near Candy and Alf or Wendy and Jamie, you all can imagine if these kids go home to their mommy talking about rimming and the different uses of cucumbers, Lord have mercy!), plus it is less crowded out there during the week than on the weekends anyway. So unless someone has a better idea I'm going to suggest the 23rd of October, which gives us a couple of weeks to discuss and plan and make important decisions. Whatta you think?
Hey Lena I'm Flying to Israel on Wednesday night 22ed October till the 10th November(for my daughter wedding on 29th October). It's been such a long time...I miss you all... Maybe you could do it a bit earlier on Tuseday the 21 October, this way I can take part too???

Hi guys! So sorry, been very busy lately, lots of sick students, seriously, I was at the Ruber hospital until about 1am last night. I checked on this thread about a week after I started it and it looked like not many people could make it and then it sort of flew out of my mind and I forgot to come back and check again or follow through with the plans. Belén is right, this things should go on Facebook, a mm group, or maybe there's an option that mm can e-mail you when people respond to a certain thread that you've started or tagged or something? Anyhoo, I still want to see everybody so I'm going to try and remind myself to check mm often and see if anyone else suggests a date for a get together in the next couple of weeks or so. L'Chaim Nava! I hope you have a wonderful time at the wedding, let's get together when you get back, with or without the mm gang, that's a promise. Lena
or maybe there's an option that mm can e-mail you when people respond to a certain thread that you've started or tagged or something?
hey lena, that has been on mm since day 1. it is a basic message board feature. when you start a thread (or post on one someone else has started) you will see a "Notifications" option. you can choose to have an instant e-mail, daily or weekly notifications. the option looks like the image below...
the main menu at the top of each thread also has a dedicated "notification" button...
to sign up for notifications on that thread.
you can also set up default permanent notifications in your personal zone as in the picture below...
so, tons of ways to keep on top of things.
now back to the get together, lets set it back till sometime in november.
I stand corrected! And I have changed my notification status so I will get an e-mail when you all respond to this here thread Ok, so back on topic and the mm get together, I'm still voting for a Thursday at 9pm and I would suggest the 13th or the 20th so that Nava is back and can tell us all about the wedding. What do you all think?
I have to take a look at my schedule, because if I finish teaching at 22h, it's not worth it for me to try and make it and get there at 22:30. I'll post either way.
Yes, the dead has arisen.

Hi Guys I'm back in Madrid When is the mm get together? missing you all dying to see my "nietos adoptivos" The wedding was great. We had about 400 people. (It's a normal size wedding in Israel) Even God was generous and gave us a pause sans rain as long as the reception and the Huppah took place,in front of the sea. The wedding hall itself was decorating very elegant with beautiful flowers bouquets, chandeliers and lights People said the food was very good, I don't know, I didn't eat a thing... Dana, my daughter was astonishing beautiful with amazing dress. The music and the D.J were excellent. Usually I don't like wedding, I get bored, but this one turn to be a happy big party and even me who never dance was drank enough to dance till the end at 4:00 AM. I promise to show you pics when I'll have them.
I had friends from Madrid, and U.S.A who came for the wedding and they took a tour all over Israel, I went with them to Petra (Jordan). Last Friday we hosted 15 people for dinner at my home in Israel, it was delicious... I wish you could be with us...
