Hey multimadridians--

I am going to test the waters here. There are a number of boardmembers from the Philadelphia area (hey Mermaid, thats you too!).

... I will be in Philadelphia over Columbus Day weekend and would like to propose a dinner for Friday, October 10th (the only day that works with my schedule). Last time I was in the city, there werent any Spanish restaurants (to my knowledge) although things are changing quickly. There are several cuban-inspired restaurants that have opened over the past couple of years and rumor has it that a tapas restaurant will be opening in Old City (that is insider information folks!). One of my favorite restaurants is Tierra Colombiana, although it isnt Spanish and its location might turn off some of our suburban members (North 5th Street).

I know that there is a relatively new (couple of years) Spanish restaurant in East Goshen/West Chester area. Perhaps some of our local boardmembers...can echar una mano here.

Anybody up for dinner on the 10th? I am going to try and gather up some of my stateside friends as well!

Sorry I must have missed this thread! Soitenly Becky, I'd be thrilled to meet for dinner on the 10th (if I am in town, there is a 1% chance I will be traveling to lovely Arkansas for work) and if I don't get washed away in this hurricane. Eeker
I don't know enough about the restaurants in Philadelphia to make a suggestion, (I am a NYC girl), but can do some scouting if you need help.

Cool Mermaid! It will be fun to see you again!

Ill have my gal pals do some research in Philadelphia for a fun restaurant...if I recall, you like martinis correct? Maybe we can have one at The Continental located at Second and Market... in Old City.

Shoot me an email with your phone numbers and Ill do the same.

See you in a couple of weeks!

Anyone else?

btw Mermaid do you like to Salsa dance?

:jeje: Chica, I am *such* a white girl. :jeje:
I am not exactly a dancer, but hey, I'm always willing to make an ass of myself, especially if there are martinis involved. Big Grin
My contact info is on its way.

Wow, what a great idea for a thread Chica!! Too bad we're not going to be there at the same time. I'm going to Philly too but in November for the ACTFL convention and would love to meet up with anyone from mm and anyone who can show me around a bit. I've never been there before so I'm really looking forward to this trip. Dates are Nov 20-23.
Saludos,
Lena

Lena, I'd love to show you around, but I'll be on a liveaboard dive trip to the Bahamas that week.
Hee! The Bahamas! Did I mention that I am diving in the Bahamas!?

Not that I am too excited about that or anything.

Big Grin
