Bonnie: Thanks! Hope you're having a good time back in the Netherlands.

Nuria: Since we didn't play last Sunday, I was spared a fair bit of embarrassment. Belen's right, you're NOT the worst player in the world.

Holaa: Well, what can I say, que fuera mejor, you're right.

Fabrizio: you mean we have the same shrink?

I was talking to my future flatmate, she's the one who's making the move with me to Madrid in January (gorgious, blond, typical dutch girl)-sorry, just added that to torment Rocco though it is true. Anyway, I was telling her about Volleyball on Sundays and now she's even more excited to be moving to Madrid. She's never played before, but I don't think she's going to have any shortage of teachers. Wink Good news for you Rocco, she's even of legal age, unlike the children you make eye's at in the Retiro. So hopefully you guys will keep this going next summer as it made my trip there this past month so much more fun, (actually it was quite fun to begin with, but it did make it even more fun).

Besos,
Bonnie

Bonnie. Does she have a Metro Pass? I would really go off the chart if she had a monthly pass with a Zone B1 or B2, but I guess I could still love her if she only had 10 ride ticket or viaje sensillo... Big Grin

Anyway. Unless otherwise posted here, we will continue to show up at the Retiro every Sunday at 4:30pm with the intention of playing volleyball and then mix it up with other alternative sports on the same location if we do not have enough people show up to play.

Hi everyone, well I am here now in Madrid and I am planning on going to hang out in Retiro park tomorrow and will most likely play volleyball with you guys. I will be bringing my two roommates and possibly a couple other people, so it should be fun!! I might not be there until a bit after 4:30pm, because we are all meeting up at my place and then walking over together. Anyway, just wanted to send my first shout out from Madrid! Hope to meet some of you tomorrow.

Hola,

Well i am really honered Bonnie that you think i am gorgeious, typical Dutch girl. I think you are going to be the perfect roommate if you going to keep saying things like that.

And it makes me very curious at Rocco, who ever that may be.

But maybe i can join in at the volleyball at sundays from january!

Big Grin

As is our ability to play were we used to!!

Went by to play soccer and the whole vball field is now fenced, it looks like they are doing some temporary work on the grounds. We played soccer just east of the regular field, maybe we can play vball there, but there are more trees.

I think Juliette and Roland played there or near by last week-end. Were did you guys play? What's the plan for this week-end multi sport activity?

hey holaaa..., you can bring a guitar, just don't play it :jeje: Wink

as far as i know, the v-ball has been going all summer and will continue until it gets too cold/nasty to play.

yikers! had no idea about that fincing off of the v-ball spot. they must be growing grass, they rope off areas a few at a time at the retirn to grow grass like that.

can't help but think that the soccer destroyed the grass even more (after we destroy it at v-ball) and they have now cut us off Frowner

i have not gone to v-ball in about a month but will be back in sept. ready to play at the incredibly high level you all expect of me Big Grin

if we can't play v-ball anymore at our regular spot and the one next to it is too small, we will have to look for greener pastures for sept.

saludos,
jer...
