hey all. seeing as we don't yet have a venue for this, i would like to recommend "phuket" which is just about the best thai restaurant in madrid. it is at calle atochaa, 115 (down by kapital) and the owner used to be a waiter at bangkok but he left and took the best chefs with him and opened his own place i know him well and am sure i could get a good deal for under 15 euros a head (what we usually end up spending at los angeles). also, phuket is smoke-free in the restaurant area but is anyone wants to smoke, they can do it in the bar area up front. let me know what ya think and i can ask chris (owner) to put a menu and price together for us all. saludos, jer...

Hey jer....I just had the women's dining club there last week for dinner. I wholeheartely concur with you. It's a great restaurant. You might be hard pressed to get a 15€ per person rate...but again, I suppose that depends on what you decide to order. Jill was with us last week and Chris offered us a 22€ menu which was very very complete and very good. If you want me to make the call, let me know!
