we always make the reservation for more than the confirmed number of people just in case.

and decided to come anyway.
a rsvp is always nice but not necessary to come. i always tell people to rsvp only if they are sure they are coming and to put a maybe if not. we always shoot high with the ressie since it is easier to take tables away than it is to add them, especially on a busy friday night.
