i disagree that the food was not as good...i thought it was all excellent with the exception of the jamon.

and we had 2 left over plates of cazon, one of chorizo and various croquetas and things that didn't get eaten...and most people claimed to be way stuffed....so if we had ordered less food the bill would have been around 15. higher than the 12 we are used to but we would have eaten it all.

i am happy to switch it up however and a few of us were talking today....the only tough thing about our get togethers is it is hard to get together with everyone when the table is so long. so we were thinking, what about doing a get together at a bar sometime, somethign where we can mix and mingle.

also, as an alternative to caserola and angeles, what if we did casa mingo one day. their terrace should be open any minute. a whole chix is just 8 euros and bottls of sidra 4....we could totally stuff ourselves there and do it very cheaply, probably around 15.....has everyone been to casa mingo yet???

it is an atmospheric old cider house over near metro pricipe pio.

Big, big fun as always. Feels more and more like a big extended (distended?) family.

I think we have gotten too gluttonous for our own good... I could have eaten half as much and have been happy (not that I let that stop me...). And it seems as if our collective tolerance level has also gone up. We just couldn't keep those jarras coming fast enough.

I wonder if we could try two tables side by side instead of one long table. Then we could socialize across the aisle...

P.S. madsue, you didn't ass-grab my classmate, did you?

Candela, the bar thing sounds fun. since you are the queen bar babe maybe you can look into a good place that also has food.

jule's "areia" was a lot of fun last time, good food and drink and not expensive at all. shall we repeat.

Sure thing! All the ideas sound great...let's start a list. Areia would be good when it's really hot and we don't want to be outside sweating to death. So I'll plan and post something for late July...for those who are here.

Just to say thank you all from me for a really great night on Thursday!!! Having never been to la caserola before, I thought the food was fantastic, and if I had known there were croquetas left, I would have eaten them!!! Lucy says thanks too, and that she now believes I do actually have some friends in Madrid.

It was lovely to see all my "old" friends again, and to meet some new ones too. Roland, just which one of us instigated that conversation

We eventually arrived back here to Dublin at around 2.30 a.m. this morning to a wet and cold city, but I will be in Madrid again on 7th June, so if anyone is up for tapas (no mojitos!) I'll maybe see some of you then?

Exactly! The assgrabbing was not of Belen´s boyfriend´s friend, it was of Madsue. I have the photographic proof. And she asked for it! Literally!
