As this will be my first time playing at the new site what time do people really show up at? Is it really at 4:30 or closer to five? I'm bringing at least one of my flatmates tomorrow and I don't want to look like the idiot going, "Well, it might be over here, or maybe it's over here." Much easier if people are already there. Also, would anyone be interested in picnic-ing before hand? You know in Holland it's the Queens Day, so maybe if Hilko's going to be there we can all dress in orange (even if it's just orange underwear) and make ourselves sick by drinking ridiculous quantities of beer (though I confess mine will have to be Sangria). I think we should all do our parts to help ease his possible homesickness during this difficult time and it might make the game just a bit more interesting. Any takers?

Ciao,
Bonnie

well, tomorrow is both mother's day in spain and Ena's birthday kiss

all that combined with the fact that i still can't play due to my leg and there is nothing worse than watching people have a blast playing v-ball when you can't participate, i will not be there tomorrow.

have fun gang!!!

saludos,
jer...

p.d. hey Angie, we will give Rocco another chance since he seems to be behaving now but if he gets outa line, you are high up there on the vball boss list big grin

Thanks, jer for fixing the map and posting it on the start of this topic so all the new people to this board do not get lost.

Next. I am looking out my window and I can already tell that the weather is shaping up to be crap by Sunday, but just to hedge all of the people who like to use the weather as an excuse and to cut you off at the pass...

Yes. We will be there at the Retiro this Sunday May 15th for volleyball at 4:30pm.

The only way we will cancel is if it is pooring down rain on Sunday afternoon and we post it here.

So see you all there.

Hi,

I have two questions regarding these volleyball matches, first of all... do you have to be a pro to play? If not, I might join you all for a game.

And second, 16:30!!! On a Sunday!!! You guys haven't heard of siesta or what????

Cheers

Everyone and anyone with all skill levels is welcome to come out and join us to play and / or have fun socializing on the side lines.

We play from 4:30pm to at least 7pm and sometimes even longer depending on the mood and the daylight, etc.

This gives plenty of time for any slackers who feel they need a siesta before coming out a chance to show up late and still get in a few games before we pack up and go home between 7pm and 8pm. cool

According to the weather reports at present it´s supposed to be 23 degrees and partially cloudy tomorrow. Great v-ball weather as it means hopefully the sun won´t be in my eyes during my serves. wink
