hey all. turnout was good today and we had 6 on 6 and 5 on 5. today was probably THE best weather day we will get for the rest of this vball season, it was beautiful out  however... it would see that not everyone read the posts on the time change above  since i was there with a few others at 4 but most did not decide to show until after 5pm  Rocco's tummy aches permitting, there will be vball next sunday as well but not sure if it will be 4 or 5pm, that is up to Rocco as i will not be there. since we det the clocks back next sat night, i am guessing he will want to start at 4. saludos, jer...

I picked up the vball stuff and made the trip all of the way out to the location only to have it start raining just as I was walking down the hill. I am most angry about wasting the two Metro trips out of my 10 trip ticket. Yeah. We will try again next week.

Rocco, don't get angry. everyone appreciates your taking charge of the multimadrid vball net and setting up on a weekly basis. weeks ago i wanted to make last sunday the last vball day as i said (from experience) that the weather was not going to hold out. there is a reason why every year we end the vball season by the 3rd (or 4th) week in oct., can't fight momma nature. saludos, jer...

hey Raphael, welcome to the board. actually, we break for the winter since nobody has ever taken the initiative to find an indoor court to play on, rent it and organize the games so that each person pays (as far as we know, there are no free infdoor courts) a little to play each week. from my experience with the "polideportivos" here in madrid, the courts rent for between 28 and 34 euros per hour which seems like a lot  but if you have a steady number, say 6 on 6 (12 peeps) every week, it would only cost about 3 euros per person to play for an hour. problem comes in getting people to commit and pay, harder than you might think if you want to organize some indoor games and find a place to play, count me in as i am happy to pay for a good court. saludos, jer...

I, for one, love playing games. (ya, ya, I know, why haven't I shown up for vball yet? 'Cause I was hung over!  ) So, once my stuff gets here, and I have games and, umm, furniture, I would be happy to host indoor games at my flat-no, no vball, more like board games. That probably won't be till December, but I'm just saying!
