Hey all!
I'm really excited to announce the start of "Troya" at bar Silha, c/Moratin 3, Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Yes, it's just down the street from that other place, but it has a vibe all its own. I remember noticing how popular it seemed to be as I walked by...and now it's ours on Sundays and Wednesdays.
I just checked Silha out last night. I love it and I think you will too! It's small and tastefully decorated, with good sound and cool lights and a very intimate vibe. We also love the owners; they are REALLY cool people. That always helps, eh?
I will be spinning on Sunday nights from around 9pm - 1 am, and it will be a great place to wind down your weekend with mellow techno, techno-house, and ambient electronic. I'm going to experiment more with that kind of music because, in addition to banging it out at the discos (stay tuned for more on that!), I also really like the downtempo/chillout sound. However, if people want to dance, this place is nicely laid out for that too. On Wednesdays, Troya will feature American/Brit pop and guest DJs spinning a variety of kinds of music.
We start next Sunday, February 13. Cocktails will be 4.50 each, and beer/wine for 2 euros. No cover, of course.
Troya at Silha c/Moratin, 3 Metro Anton Martin Sundays 8pm-2am, Wednesdays 9pm-2am
Hope to see you there our inaugural night, Sunday, February 13!

I'll be the second to congratulate you--way to go Juliette! Soon mm-ers will be taking over the whole block with our mellow and ambient grooving selves. Hope I can make it next Sunday.
It's nice to see something that starts before midnight for those of us who have to get up before noon on Monday...

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone! I hope a few of you who are here in Madrid (in addition to Jer and Ena :ks: ) can try to drop by, if not the 13th, on another Sunday. I could use some feedback as I explore different kinds of venues, nights of the week, music styles, etc in Madrid. That way I can improve myself as a DJ and as a party organizer, therefore giving more of you what you want in order to have a good time here in our favorite of all cities!
Wednesday nights will feature 80's music and possibly a special weekly event just for women. Stay tuned for more information on that!
What time are you going? I may drop by, as I don't have to work very early on monday morning... and I'm also interested in the 'women only' thing.. maybe we should do that on sunday, as it's saint valentine's day's eve..

I'm super-stoked! Just went to the place and set everything up and it's niiiiiice. You'll love it! We've got a bunch of really interesting people coming out as well...French, Spanish, Swiss, British, 'Merican, and much more....I expect many languages will be spoken this night.
Just got some new tunes today too. Perhaps not as mellow as I had anticipated, cuz we're in the mood to party. Dancing, anyone??
Yay Jer & Ena for not having to work early Monday morning! Any chance of bringing the JerCam??
We'll have our digicam there to capture the night and we'll be sure to get some good mm moments with all of you.
The bar is sooooooooo cute! Can't wait to see Jules spin on Sunday....TOMORROW!!!!!!
Hope you can all join.
Also we are going to throw a party there on Wednesday night too.....80s/90s music... The Cure, Spandau Ballet, The Smiths, Duran Duran, early U2....etc....
