A relative having had work and residecy permits for one autonomous region for 2 years wants to move to be nearer rest of relatives....one would think this would be easy....but being non european (Thai)they say the paper work will take 6 to 8 weeks and they cannot start new employment until paperwork completed? May possibly have to go to Bankok as all paperwork has to be re-submitted as if for a first entry??
Only in Spain could this happen

i am sorry to hear that and i agree that (sadly) spain is tough and quite ridiculous with regards to work permits and such.

if i were you i would ask the advice of a lawyer specialized in work and residency to see if you can get around this or avoid it alltogether.
