these "pages" are small pages and contain approx. 40-60 words per page. many pages have no words but rather tables and charts with numbers (eg. the calling rates pages and such).
cell phone jargon but nothing complex nor too techy as they are made for the end consumer.
now the catch, I NEED THEM TRANSLATED INTO A .PDF DOCUMENT (that is an Adobe Acrobat doc.).
i know i just lost a lot of possible translators but this is what i need, sorry
you must know how to creat a PDF doc. to do this, obviously.
i would guestimate that there are about 8,000 words but can assure you that the translating is easy as many pages have no words at all.
at the end of the deal, you will hand me the original (editable) source .pdf file and i will hand you a brand spankin new 500 bill.
the end product will be a PDF file that is a mirror of the user manuals but for online use only.
any takers? (please, only serious candidates). e-mail me at jeremy@onspanishtime.com or send me a p.m.
I AM ALSO WILLING TO WORK WITH SOMEONE ON THIS AS LONG AS THAT SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A .PDF. PAYMENT TO BE NEGOTIATED IF WE SPLIT THE WORK.
If you use OpenOffice's text editor, which is very similar to Microsoft Word and is freely downloadble at www.openoffice.org. You can then save the document as a PDF and as Word.
I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I have a good friend of mine that does translating for a living. I brought it up to her, she will look into how much work this means to her, and she might call you.
She also mentioned that, for Vodafone at least, they might already have the user's manual in english, have you looked into this?

for your friend to even consider this, much less calculate the time she needs to put in, she would really need to see the manuals i am referring to, no?
well, i have done searches and could not (not yet) even find the manuals in spanish.
you see, these are not cell phone user manuals which come in many languages but rather SIM card user manuals so it is a bit harder to find.
they may have vodafone u.k. manual somewhere but vodafone spain is a TOTALLY diff. company and i have not been able to find the SIM manual at all.
it is interesting that vodafone spain has a pathetic at best version of their website in english. movistar, number 1 market share here, has no english version whatsoever and amena (the co. with the worst coverage and 3rd of 4 in the market) has the best website in english at http://ingles.amena.com .
fabrizio, after seeing www.openoffice.org , i am actually entertaining the idea of having someone only do the actual translating and then doing the PDF myself
