I am British and have been working on a permanent contract with a Spanish company for two years now. I have been paying all of the necessary contributions. If I wanted to leave can I apply for unemployment benefit or must I get fired? If so, how can I claim unemployment benefit, how much will I likely receive and for how long?
I get paid a decent monthly wage but I just noticed on my pay slip it give a basic figure and another figure called incentivos. Both of these figures add up to the monthly salary. I heard that my unemployment payment would be based on my basic salary instead of the total with incentivos - is that true?
Any help/advice on this subject would be much appreciated.
Thanks very Much
