Hi clubivy, welcome to the group.

Thanks for posting your job offer but can you please tell us more about the position (spelling is "position" and not "possition" Red Face ) here on this thread.

For example...

How many hours do you offer?

How much per hour do you pay? I am guessing at least 9 Euros per hour as that would be minimum pay for an English teacher in Madrid.

Are the classes in your school or out in companies?

Does one need a TEFL or TOEFL certificate to be considered for the position?

And anything else you feel would help us to understand your offer better.

Saludos,
jer...

Hey jer and anyone else looking to work for Club Ivy, they were covered pretty thoroughly in a previous post. Just click here HERE and you will find out about the working situation and basic pay rate.

Good luck!

P.S. I make no less than 19€ an hour teaching. You decide.

Hi Jer,

Thanks for your message and thanks for (as always) being diplomatic and professional. I would be happy to provide more details about the positions available.

The hours, schedule, and location of classes are entirely up to the teacher. Club Ivy can work around your schedule and try to coordinate with you so that you have the best classes possible. We have teachers who teach a few hours per week outside of the company; we also have teachers who work full days at Club Ivy (Metro Alonso Martinez) - eliminating the need to waste time traveling to and from teaching appointments. We are happy to work with teachers to determine the best schedule possible.

They pay depends on which classes the teacher takes on, as well as how long the teacher has been with us. Our lowest pay is 7,81 € per hour, but the pay is higher depending on the type of class you teach, as well as (as I mentioned before) the time that the teacher has been with us. Please keep in mind the following: Club Ivy is an established company that is committed to paying fairly and on time (despite what a few may say). We give teachers a great deal of flexibility in their schedules, supply ALL the necessary materials, provide informal teacher training, allow teachers to teach all their classes in one location, and generally think of ourselves as pleasant company to work with.

We have no minimum requirements (TEFL). Prospective teachers should send their CVs to Luisa (lcruz@clubivy.com) or bring them by our offices at Monte Esquinza, 28, 5th floor (91-319-1154). They will need to fill out a questionnaire and have an interview with us as well.

I encourage anyone who is thinking of applying to Club Ivy to come and speak with any of our teachers, most of whom have taught at other academies or for themselves before and now are much happier here at Club Ivy . Form your own opinion!

Sorry for the long post, and Happy Halloween to everyone! Smiler
