Just to let anyone know reading this... the Comunidad de Madrid is making most (if not eventually all) public schools into bilingual education and every year they are looking for more and more teachers. I did it and had a great experience (and wish I would've stayed that 2nd year... and yes, they only let you do 2 years consecutively, because, as we all know, after 3 years of being empadronado you can apply for... ?? to get legal...). However, I will warn you, there are MANY that did not. I am moving back to Madrid in 10 days, 1 way ticket, to move in with my boyfriend and with my fingers crossed... I'll get papers... we'll see. I'm going to be teaching again and have interviews set up also... we'll see how stuff works out. If you'd like more info on the schools see: http://www.sgci.mec.es/usa/AC/indexing.shtml

[QUOTE] 1 way ticket, to move in with my boyfriend and with my fingers crossed [QUOTE] just a note, they seem to be cracking down on people coming to Europe without a valid visa or return ticket (not that it matters that much) Was talking with a lady who was told she had to buy a 2 way ticket as she didn't have a valid visa. They refunded the one way and she bought a round trip.
