I have been living in Madrid for a month, the other day I received my E106 and I need to stamp it.
I have just rang one of the Seguridad Social offices and they say they know nothing about form E106, and that I need to get (from them) a "numero de asociacin" and a "tarjeta comunitaria". Is that right?
Is there anything else I need and I dont know of :lo: ?
As far as I know an E106 is very similar to an E111, and therefore you need to do nothing with it! It just provides temporary health cover, usually for 2 years, and there is no extension to that time period. You dont get a medical card with an E106, but just present it to the hospital/doctor if you have to have treatment. Same as the E111, no private hospital or doctor will accept it.
Hope that is a bit of use to you!!!!!

It is worth reading the UK Embassy web site for these things (sometimes) Take a look at : http://www.ukinspain.com/english/ConsularServices/livingspain/medical_ukvisitor.asp?IdNavSections=30&lang=en This may provoke more confusion but at least it sounds convincing ! Talk about the fact that Spain has introduced the CARD for E111 IMMEDIATELY !! Unsure about E106 but I would think that a visit in person to the INSS C/ Padre Damian 4 may be necessary ??? Nige
