Hi all, I have to submit three proposals for original content to web sites based in Spain in the next week. In the US, it is pretty easy for me to determine pricing as I can always just do a google search to get local prices, but I am stumped here.
Therefore, I figured I'd open this thread as a source of info for all mm-freelancers. My focus is writing, but I imagine you designers, web gurus, etc, might also have to deal with how to price in this market.
So to start with my writing question:
Has any one had the chance to do freelance writing (in English)for a Spanish company? Any advice on what/how to bill. Obviously, I prefer per word as it is the easiest standard. Also, I will be looking at two different levels: one for basic non-authored content and one for original, researched content authored to me. I have no idea where to price, so any advice is appreciated.
And again, to make this useful to all, if you bill freelance to Spanish companies in other categories, please share how you determine your pricing (of course, without revealing your trade secrets).
Thanks.
