Hey all, one of my favorite yearly Spanish festivals of all time is just around the corner, "Las Fallas de Valencia"
You can see some footage from last year at
www.multimadrid.com/sites/beyond_madrid/fallas/fallas.htm and follow this year's activity at the official Fallas website at
www.fallas.com .
Do not miss their live webcam in the town hall square where the main Falla stands as high as a building --->
www.fallas.com/fallas/webcam.htm (if you catch it at 1am on March 19th (Tuesday night into Wed. morning) you will see it go up in flames, an amazing site and second best if you can't be there in person or see it live on TV1 (Televisin Espaola).
I went a few years ago and am dying to go back.
Saludos,
jer...

Jer, wow! I just saw that live webcam in Valencia looking onto that thing, it is HUGE!
I had heard of Las Fallas but never imagined they were that big.

Hey binko, better late than never.
I too plan to be at the Fallas next year since this year we had a death in the family of my girlfriend and the trip was cancelled.
Yeah, I went years ago and was impressed by the masclets and entire streets closed off and lined with the nets fo fireworks.
Next year for sure
Saludos,
jer...

Hey binkx, sounds sweeet!
This brings me to an idea that I have had to try and organize a multimadrid fallas trip for March 2003
Keep an eye out for a new thread on it soon.
Saludos,

hello
For all those who couldn't go this year to fallas,
take a look to the pictures i have taken.
http://es.geocities.com/activi02/ it's sad that all that nice fallas no longer exists.
In the 'consejos' and 'recorridos' links you'll find some useful info for your next year travel to fallas.

Hello
This time i didn't go to Daniel, i hadn't time for that but i go there almost everytime i go to valencia which are at least 2 or 3 times per year.
Even despite i don't like Horchata
!!! it's a shame for me, i'm half valencian and i don't like horchata, what more? at least i like paella
This time i tried the place for 'Agua de Valencia' which for me is 'cafe paris' but it was closed!!!
i don't know if its definetly closed or was closed for any strange reason. The fact is that i went back home without trying Agua de Valencia
next time.
