I have been trying (without success) to locate an online guide of the "pasos" (processions), outlining the routes. http://www.semanasantaensevilla.es.vg has information, all in Spanish. You must click on Christ or the Virgin to find some information. The paper pamphlet describing the routes and times of the processions were easily obtained during Semana Santa, so you will surely be able to find them. I'd say get a booklet, ask questions at your hotel, and follow the crowds. The one paso we found to be insanely crowded was for the Macarena (I think it's Thursday night, but I don't remember). We went to pasos all over town, but I remember one of the best vantage points being along the Guadalquivir as the procession crossed the Puente de Isabel II(Triana), near the bullring. During the day, away from the old town, it was pretty quiet. We ate mostly on the Triana side of the river, and didn't have to wait long to eat. The farther away from the old town, the fewer crowds (unless a paso just happens to be going through that neighborhood). If I find anything else, I'll post it.

Larry, you can get some pretty good (Adobe Acrobat PDF format) maps of Sevilla on Jer's Yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jermadrid/files/City%20Maps/sev1.pdf http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jermadrid/files/City%20Maps/sev2.pdf All "pasos" go from the respective parish churches to the Cathedral (or is it the reverse?). The maps clearly shows (and names) the city's churches, the cathedral, Plaza Nueva, bullring, Alcazar, etc. If the scale/print size of the map is too small to see/read well, you can zoom to the desired resolution, take a screen shot, and print that. That's what I did in 2001. I don't know what part of town you are staying in, but getting to our pension near Plaza Nueva was a challenge. Many parts of the center were blocked off to buses and we walked a lot to circumvent the crowds that we very hard to get through (not complaining, we knew it would be crowded...) As a test, I tried to figure out how to get from the Santa Justa Station to Plaza Nueva After some research on www.tussam.es, I guess would be to take the 32 from Santa Justa to Plaza Encarnacion and walk from there...but would it be running?) I'm hoping that they update the site so it is more user friendly, especially for visitors. Hope this helps.
