Jer and fellow future winners, I can't wait to win... to buy an apartment in Madrid, that would be the best! Take a year sabbatical and get my Spanish citizenship...wow! ESPERO QUE GANEMOS...
P.S. Thanks Jer for thinking of this idea and arranging it for all of us. Smiler

Hi Jer and every other future lucky El Gordo winner!

I PROMISE, when we win:

Let my daughter attend the graduate school of her choice without spending a dime!

Send my husband to see his folks in Ecuador!

NEVER to cut another coupon from the newspaper!

Buy all of us lucky winners a lovely dinner in Madrid when we come to pick up the nice new Euros they have waiting for us!!!!

This is OBVIOUSLY for when we hit the BIG WIN--not five Euros or something like that, VBG!!!

Thanks, Jer, for this chance to become rich!
This is too much fun!
Saludos y SUERTE!
Pearl
:-)

God Bless!

I'm caught up here with Christmas lottery fever and came across a couple of links that may be of interest to everyone out there who has participated in the pool.

My wife, daughter and I got up at 9:30 this morning and have been listening to the numbers as the children from San Ildefonso call them out. They've already called out 'the gordo' on the fourth slate of prizes.

Here's a link if you want to check and see if one of your numbers won:

http://www.elmundo.es/loteria/buscador.html

You just enter your number and they tell you if it's a winner or not.

Here's a link that, once all the winning numbers have been called out, will give you an all inclusive list of winning numbers:

http://www.elmundo.es/especiales/2002/12/sociedad/loteria2002/pdf.html

If you try it now it'll tell you that the list isn't available yet. Try it in about 2-3 hours or so and that should save you a trip to the newsstand! Wink

Best of luck and  to everyone!

I knew that we had some lucky numbers. Now I can tell you why . . . 453 used to be my ID number when I did telemarketing. It's always brought me luck.

400 euros divided by ?= ? Congratulations to us!
Now then, will our new wealth be deposited in our PayPal accounts or what? I think I stashed a fair amount of cash in there for the holidays, then did not shop as much online as I thought. Not even sure how to get at my account! I suppose I could consider it hidden savings for a rainy day...

Well, there were 16 of us, right? So 400/16 = 25. I don't know how taxes work over there and all that. But it looks like we may at least get our investment back.

I didn't win Powerball last night, but then again neither did anyone else. So on Wednesday the jackpot is somewhere near $300 million. That would be a nice Christmas present!

Well, cheers to us!!!

That's great news ! How about rolling over the prize money and put it into the next big one?
When is the next BIG ONE ???!!!
This is so exciting.
And a very big thankyou to jer for organising this. AND for not allowing any of those bl++dy silly pop up ads for Casino this or Casino that from infiltrating MULTIMADRID !!
This kind of lottery I enjoy.

Hey gang, this lotteryu thing in Spain is tough to get down.

I did not want to post this before Xmas so as not to bum you al out but it would seem that we only won 40 Euros and not 400 Frowner

You see, each number is sold in a series (serie) of 10 tickets and the 200 Euros per number was for the series, not for just one ticket of the 10 in the series which is what we have.

So, we actually won a tenth of the 200 Euro prize on each # which is 20 Euros, hence the deal paid out 2.50 per head of the 16 of us in the pool.

Oh well, as I always say... "algo es algo".

So, it will be inpossible for me to get you all 2.50 Euros since a bank transfer or even a Pay Pal paymetn will suck up more than that in commissions.

I think a good option would be to take the 40 Euros and buy tickets for the Lotera del Nio on the 5th of January, what do you all think?

Saludos,
jer...
