No problem Arnie, yeah, I know you wanted it to be a poll. The best way to avoid the debate would be to start it as a poll from the beginning but first you have to learn how to make a poll, it is pretty easy. As for the Spanish phrase "no tiene pelos en la lengua" (literally "has no hair on ones tongue"), it is what you say to someone when they do not hold back when giving their opinion on something, they just let it all out, no holds barred. Also, "Jo Doris, no te cortas ni un pelo!" basically means the same thing, that she is not afraid to say anything nor express herself. Saludos, jer...

Hey DORIS, thanks for the input once agian but I am going to have to ask you to kill the all capital letters (don't fret, letters are not animals nor living beings of any type ). We understand that you are yelling at us and will keep that in mind but please tone down the caps or I will have to erase Arnie's board membership I am gonna tear the top off of this can-o-worms now and tell you all that I read an article a while back that said that cows are uncomfortable and "suffer" a bit at the hands of their milkers since they often tug to hard on the teets Got milk? Saludos, jer...

STOP ALL THIS YELLING! TENGO DOLOR DE CABEZA! NECESITO ASPIRINA! AHORA! Can't we just all shave our tongues and get along? I have learned from my vast experience with the internet (that was sarcasm, for those of you just tuning in) that animal rights/welfare/liberation/whatever is not a good topic to bring up. Ever. It polarizes people too much, and fights ensue 110 percent of the time. And did I say headaches? It causes headaches too :lo: !

Hi again Yes, this is Doris Ok you guy's, I've calmed down. Two thing's that really get me going are ANIMALS, YES, religion, NO. (I think you can see where my true passion is here ). (I will not ever comment on religion, as long as it does not involve animals.) As for the yelling before, take 2 asperin's and call me in the morning. (i didn't know i typed that loud, got your attention though, didn' i?) MAN, IT SURE IS SILENT OUT THERE!(you think I should try for the U. N, on animals rights? NEVER MIND, WORLD WAR 3) Ok , you're right, let's not argue, life's too short, and I see now that this is really not the place to try and win a battle, much less a war. You may not believe this, but I'm very mellow and diplomatic on life in general. Reallllllly, ask Arno. (HE'S THE ONE THAT GOT IT STARTED IN THE FIRST PLACE) (HA ha ha, I'm just like so many people, blame someone else) Oh well. I'm new at this type of conversation about serious subjects. I think I know now how to keep it on a light level. Sorry for getting carried away. But my passion for the critters just would not be silent! As to your question Jer, got Milk???? Do you reallllly want to go there???(HA HA HA, I could take it a long way)!! Yeah, I got a sense of humor, sick maybe, but I don't know you that well, or anyone else on this site for that matter! For starters, tell the farmer to warm his hands. It can do wonders (ha ha) GNIGHT ALL, AND PLEASANT DREAMS Doris

I don't really like or dislike bullfighting, but can understand that people love it or hate it. In my opinion is a tradition that should be kept. Yes it is cruel. I think there are many, many more cruel acts in this world that people don't even protest about. I find pathetic people that participate in rallies against animal cruelty, i would like to see them in rallies against poverty, or homelessness, or people dying of hunger. I understand someone being angry at it, but once someone gets into something that is not really "their" field...it is better not to get into it. If we get into extremes, a vegetable "suffers" too when it's cut to be eaten later, the air gets polluted when you use a car, dogs suffer in closed environments, and so and so on. Some things are better to be left as they are. (I'm sure many anti-toros fighters will hate me after my post, but beleive me I'm not such a bad guy I'm eating bull while i post this!! just kidding ) kike

I know its futile, but I personally cheer for the bull. I was ECSTATIC when Espartaco got his ass kicked by the bull not too long ago and was not in the least bit disappointed when el Juliol (if I remember the name correctly, sorry Im not an aficionado) landed in the hospital from a bullfight...that was great, but alas in the end of course the bull loses. I do think its cruel, but whatcha gonna do, right?

"What's another word for Thesaurus? Steven Wright"

A few years ago as part of a study, people were asked the following question: quote: If your pet and a human you didn't know were drowning in a river and you could only save one, which would you save?
Something like 70% of those polled answered "my pet". Shocked the heck out of me, because I would save the human over my pet any day, regardless of what PETA might think. (Maybe most of the people who answered "my pet" would save the human, if the event actually occurred, but I'm not sure.)

If it were a dog, I would save someone elses pet over a person. Dogs are great. Jer, thanks, like I said Im not a bullfight aficionado, but I took great interest in the news footage.

Come to think of it, if I were a dog, so would I! However, because I am human, I don't think I'd like to tell someone's parent/grandparent/child/grandchild/spouse/etc. that my pet's life was more important than their loved one's life, because I sure wouldn't be understanding if it were the other way around...

It's incredible, but you're right many people think like that. I heard England is specially inclined towards Pets vs. humans. The problem with PETA is they smoke too many "petas" Salu2 kike quote: originally posted by Paulandirene: [qb] A few years ago as part of a study, people were asked the following question: quote: If your pet and a human you didn't know were drowning in a river and you could only save one, which would you save?
