Casa rural “EL MIRADOR” in Santa Cruz de Moncayo (only 2 miles from Tarazona)
This is a 200 year old house right in the gateway to the “Parque Natural Dehesa del Moncayo”. It is just like being at home. Is an authentic aragonese house, original wood beams and a cobbled patio. The upstair double bedroom ( El Palomar ) is beautiful with a wonderful new bathroom. You have your own kitchen and the owner leaves everything for you to make your own breakfat: milk, pastries, bread, jam etc. The view from the upper restroom window is amazing. It looks right to the Moncayo. The owners, Reyes and Jos Luis are very friendly. On top of everything it is very cheap. Around U$S 30 per night for a double room (of course you have all the facilities including the upstairs kitchen). You can visit Tarzona and its 2000 year old town, with its medieval plazas, the mudejar art, its cathedral and its wonderful gastronomy; nearby is the Monasterio de Verula where Becquer lived for some time. For more information:www.personal5.iddeo.es/elmirador Telephone 976 64 31 38 and 639 05 94 94. If you are planning to visit Tarazona don't hesitate in staying at the El Mirador, it is much better, and cheaper than the hotels at Tarazona.

All the casas rurales I've seen are wonderful (the ones I know are mostly in the north.) The Tourist Office of Spain in NY and Chicago and Miami have entire listings of them, all in Spanish, of course.
