Aaaaahhh, Thursday is just another day Max Ok gnag, Max suggested we all get together on Saturday April 6th and some of you have already said you can make it so let's shoot for an outing to the Sierra on that day, ok? As I have stated, my car can fit 4 people (5 is pushing it) and I know totx has a car too so we just need to organize this, it should not be too hard. Saludos, jer...

Hello, Hope everyone had a great Semana Santa!!! I'm with Max, I'd prefer this to be a weekend activity (I'll have to start working again one of these days, y'know?). Specially Sundays (Aaahh! what a lovely way to cope with the 'resacas' ) pim

Hi everyone...Im a little late posting here but couldnt resist this thread. How about this...since we live just next to the Sierra with tons of great places to go hiking...why dont we all meet at my house here in El Espinar on Sunday. Everyone pack a picnic lunch and we can all take off from here. For those who are transportation challenged, there is a train from Madrid --> Villaba which then becomes the train to Segovia and passes right through El Espinar. Would be happy to make the station runs to pick up any would be hikers.... Any takers? Jer I promise to tell my cigar story!

Hey Chica, actually you are right on time since we are trying to plan a hike for this Saturday or Sunday. Is either day good for you? I have sent an e-mail to the gang interested in going and hope to get answers ASAP. Will keep you updated. I think using your casita as a jumping off point is a great idea and we will probably all be able to get there by car but thanks for the pickup offer at the station Saluods, jer... p.d. Dying to hear that Cigar story

Hey! I just sent an email before reading this post. Sorry bout that! Jer, I know you guys have been planning this its on the board which is why I posted! Hi Monica...yes a quick trip. 5 days all total. Enough to lose my suitcase for one day, go dancing with the girls, have coffee with a city councilman, pay my debt (or get money) from Uncle Sam (those darned taxes), a haircut, lunch with my two closest friends, Easter dinner with the family and tons of hugs and kisses for (and from) my niece and nephew who I love sooo much! Ahhhh yes, and the cheese made it there nice and safe! So, gang, either Sat or Sun is fine...just let me know so we can plan a visit with the in-laws!

Hey all, looks like we are on for Sunday, so far it is: Max Jer Ena Rachel (A.K.A. Raquel) Jill Chica (A.K.A. Rebecca the Cigar Smuggler ) Jill may also be coming with a friend which would be a total of 7 so far. I have asked her to give us a definite on her friend coming or not so we can get the car thing arranged. I have not heard from Paloma "PIMster" yet Max, you mentioned you might be able to get (steal? ) a car on Sunday? Mine is good for like 4 people so we will need another or some will have to take the train and Chica can get them at the station. Chica, what is a good place for us to meet and pick everyone up to go out to your place? A location on the edge of the city (reachable via Metro) that is in the direction of your house? I don't mind a bit of rain either, as long as the company is good which it is, the best! Let's make this happen! Saludos, jer...

Hi everyone, Jer sorry I haven't responded sooner. I'm so sad to say that yesterday I had a little accident and I 'torc' my ankle. So for now I seriously doubt that I'll be well enough to make it to the little 'excursin' next weekend. It sure seems like a wonderful time will be had by all!!! (you lucky dogs ) Hey Becks! You're so kind to offer your place as meeting point! I'm glad you've had a great time 'en tu pueblo', I've missed you. Raquelita & Max, you better tell me all about it afterwards! Animo y besos pim

We are good for the light rain this Sunday! Lets see if it will be more than rain... Driving home from Madrid tonight I hit rain in Torrelodones which turned into sleet a few kms up the highway and became snow just past Villaba. However, once into Segovia it became light rain again. Please add ngel (my husband) to the list. I would recommend meeting in Moncloa since you will want to get the A-6 (A Corua)out to our place. I have emailed the directions to a few people. If you are interested in going and didnt get the directions, please send me a private message or email and I will send them to you. It is approx. 65 km to our house from Madrid. If you plan to take the train, shoot me an email as I have the train schedule. Let me know so one of us can pick you up! This will be fun guys!! Well pick a walking spot ... but it may not be "tried and true" by us, so dont hit us with your bocadillos if the hike isnt as challenging as you would like. PIM - time to get the dinner routine going again!! Hey and if the weather isnt good for hiking (light rain aside) and you all want to come out (PIMster included) we could just hang out at our place. Its small but cozy! Let me know what time you are planning on meeting in Madrid and calculate 45 mins give or take to get to our place! Saludos a todos! Beckster

I am deeply saddened by the swolen ankle but PIM, you will be in our thoughts and can make the next hike. Ok, I think Ena's sister and her boyfriend are coming which adds 2 more available car seats since they will drive and are 2 in a 4 seater Rain or shine, we are there! I think that Moncloa is a good place to meet as well so that those with cars (Me, Ena's sis, Max?) can pick up those with feet Hey CHica, not to worry, I am not a big hiker, just into the fresh air and escaping the sity thing. Will the place you have chosen to walk require more effort than moving my PC mouse OK, so, if anyone should need to call me, my cell phone # is 656 266 844. LEt's plan to meet in Moncloa, I will send an e-mail to al involved with the exact meeting place and time. Chica, thanks for the instructions on arriving at your pad. Saludos, jer...
