If you love to see the mountains, the sunsets, the clear days and the silence: try travelling to Los Pirineos. There are wonderful places like the Parque Nacional de Ordesa in Huesca, Aragon, with nice little hotels and rural houses. The Valle de Broto is beautiful and places like Torla is worth a visit. Another place is the Valle de Bo, near the Parque Nacional de Aigues Tortes, with its romanic churches and small towns and splendid food.
If anybody needs information on these subjects don't hesitate: just ask me here and I'll tell you more about them. Smiler

Mindy, There are a lot of rural house all along the Pireneos. I can give you some that are very cheap and others that have medium prices.
In the Valle de Bo (one of the entrances to the Parque Nacional de Aiges Tortes) there are a lot of small towns and very near one another. The valley is only 30 kilometers long and while staying in one place you can visit the whole valley. In Taull you have the rural house “Santamara”, the “Pensi La Coma” and “Pensin El Bouquet”. In Erill la Vall the following hotels: “L’Aut”, “La Plaza” and “Rac D’Erill”. In Bo the “Pension Pey”. In Caldes de Bo the “Pensin Caldes”
On the other side of the Parque de Aiges Tortes, on the other entrance, you find the town of Espot, the “Hotel Saurat”and “Hotel Roya” are quite good.
In the valley of Broto ( the gateway to Parque Nacional de Ordesa) in the town of Torla you have “Husa Ordesa”, “Edelweiss”, “Bujaruelo” and “Alto Aragon”. In the town of Broto “La Posada” (is beatiful), In Sarvise “Casa Puyuelo”. In Buesa “Casa Balcn de Pirineo” (with beautiful views of the valley). In Oto “Casa Pueyo”.
In the valley of Aran in the town of Vielha you have a wonderful Parador, the hostel “Baricauba” and a lot of others since the town is quite big. Remember that the King goes skiing in Baquera-Beret, a beautiful little town right in the center of the valley but there the hotels are very expensive.
Remember that this is a very small portion of the Pirineos, only part of Huesca and Lrida. So you can imagine that in the whole of the Pirineos you can find cheap and lovely places to stay.
In Navarra the mountains are softer and greener. The valley of Baztan is amazing. You can stay at the town of Elizondo and visit the whole valley, right to the frontiers with France. There is a place called Zugarramurdi, where witches had their aquelarres in an enormous cave, that is interesting too.
I hope to have satisfied your enquiries and you won’t regret travelling to these places. Anything else you need to know I’ll try to answer. Bye.

Sounds absolutely wonderful! How should i go about reserving something for the very end of May, like maybe May 30-June 1? We're looking for something cheap, but clean (we're college students). The actual area doesn't matter, really, it's all beautiful. We're just looking for a few days out in the country. Is there a website I can go to?

Mindy, one web site is www.vallebroto.com/rural.htm or www.Toprural.com or www.hosterialaposada.com www.husa.es www.e-ruraltourismspain.com www.hisparural.com www.iberguia.com or else through Yahoo Spain you can enter the town and they will give you the places you can stay, the prices and you can also make reservations.
