Jer, you're always telling us that Llanes will be always in your thougths. Why don't you tell us why?.
I've been there just once, two years ago, but my girlfriend has spent there 5 or 6 summers. She is as in love with Llanes as you are!
The thing I liked best was the "paseo de San Pedro". The views of the sea and the cliffs were wonderful . And, on summer nights the best thing you can do is to go to a bar and drink tasteful cider. Are you good at "escanciando" pouring out cider?.
Bye!

Hey totx, my visit to Llanes was years ago and I do not remember that much about it but visiting www.llanesnet.com brings some things back. As I have mentioned on other threads on my board, what most impressed me about Llanaes was the beaches and the overall serene feeling one gets when they arrive.
I also like the Cantabrian coast in general due to its closeness to the mountains. You can be on the beach and within 30 minutes be amongst the greenest mountains around
Aparently I was WAY off on the beach estimate I gave for Llanes, I was only counting the ones within close walking distance of the town center but there are 38 beaches, YES 38 in Llanes! You can get the list at www.llanesnet.com/playas , just click on the beach name for the photo and you will see why I loved the beaches there so
