Just wondering if there are anyone here thats been to Torrevieja? Stayed close to the town last year (La Marina) and will be staying even closer this summer (Zenia Mar) Been digging up info and intrests for the area.
Anyone intrested in adding some new info to my database or wants to ask me something, feel free!
I've been through Torrevieja several times as my wife has an aunt who lives there. It's too busy for me though. It's grown exponentially during the last several years and is now just too big for me.
Actually, many of my Spanish friends have referred to it as either 'Torre-inundada-de-guiris' or 'Torre-rollo'. That second is not at all easy to say semi-correctly if you're a non-native Spanish speaker.
Sorry, but those are my two Euro cents.

Not been around Torrevieja that much, hope to change that this year.
There are 10 of us going there to have some fun and enjoy the great beaches in the area, ...didnt find a bad beach last year.
Reson for us to go there are "cheap" summer houses, something diffrent from a hotel. Wondering if there is any more action to be found other than relax and enjoy a beer under the sun
I agree with tonytorero here, with soooooo many beautiful/historical/culturally interesting places to see in Spain, places like Torrevieja, Benidorm, etc... should be avoided.
