In Donostia (San Sebastin) there is a very famous bar called "La Mejillonera" (Mussels). It's in the inner city near the seaport (10 meters more or less). The street it's called "Portu Kalea" (SeaPort Street). All my friends always go there to fill their stomachs when they go to S.Sebastin. The more tipical things to eat are: - Racin de Bravas (a small dish with potatos and a spice sauce). - Bocadillos de Bravos (a Bocadillo utterly filled with squids and a sauce semi-spice that looks like Mahonesa). - Racin de Mejillones en vinagreta (mussels). - 1 Litre of beer
Always is full of people and you'll have to fight to find a small spot to place the dishes with the potatos and the bocadillos and the beer, and there is no chair nor tables, but is cheap and, most of all, very very delicious.
Que aproveche!

Sue Yurick is gonna love this one I just met her at the airport this morning and sheis headed up to San Seabastin for 3 weeks to lead a culinary tour there.
Sue, if you go to "La Mejillonera", let us know how it is. Would be good to get a foreigner's take on the place as well.
