Hello.

The most amazing natural environment I've seen in Spain is "La Ruta del Cares" Eeker . It's a narrow track along the river Cares in Asturias. There are 7 kilometers from Poncebo to Can and another 7 to come back to Poncebo.

The track is 300 meters over the river.

I would like to explain better how this beautiful place is, but I can't. Has someone of you been there?.

If you are planning to stay here more than 6 months, you should pay a visit to this natural environment in summer or in spring. Cool

Bye!

Hey totx, once again your additions to my board are unique and "off the beaten path". I personally have never heard of the "Ruta del Cares" but it sounds amazing!

I am more of a city lover but also enjoy nature and the country when I do go.

Can you give us more info on the "Ruta"? I for one will go and look online for the scoop and will let you know what I find Big Grin

Saludos,
jer...

Hi!.

I've been trying to find any website in the internet with images of Care's Route.
It's difficult to show in a photo this amazing place because in a photo only appears a little area. Razzer

When looking at the photos, you must remaind that the river Cares is in the middle of two huge Mountains, one in front of the other. Every mountain has almost 800 meters heigh, and both of them are completely vertical.

The track is in one of the mountains (at middle height) and it has just 2 meters wide and that there's a cliff on one side (about 200 meters) to the river. Above the road, the mountain still has 400 meters height or more.

Here you are two sites where you can have a look at some photos:

Bye!.
