Greetings!
I would like to take my son to see the
Roman ruins of Italica. Can any MultiMadrid Members help me out? I would like to know how to get there. I understand that it is a few kilometers from Madrid.
Gracias,
Booklady Smiler

Well,Booklady, I've got the proverbial good news and bad news, and then good news again.

The good news is that the Roman ruins of are only 9 km. out of town to the northwest on N630. The bad news is that the town it's outside of is not Madrid, but Sevilla. But the GOOD news, is that now you have another good reason to visit Sevilla. Smiler

I have some great memories of a trip to Itlica. It was a student trip(I was the teacher) and my mother went along. It makes you so aware of the fact that Spain was a huge chunk of the Roman empire! And the mosaic floors that are still in place are awesome. I recall a very nice vine-shaded restaurant you can eat at very nearby, also.
Hope you go!
