Hi all, I thought those of you preparing to go to Galicia this year might like to read this article about the language of the Gallego's, as over the years it has had a huge revival, and is used quite extensively now, as with Catalan in Catalunya.
The link I've put here takes you to (or should take you to) an Adobe Acrobat 'Pudding file', (that's my pet name for PDF formated files) (and they are irritating too, sometimes, (you can tell I'm not too keen on the Pudding files).
Anyways, here are the links, and I hope it will be of interest/use to those of you who are going this year, if you really want to get on with the locals, and get a smile out of them, try to remember that they are Gallego's, and as with the Catalanes they too are trying to promote recognition/acknowledgement of their language, to carry a Galician phrase book might be a good idea.
This link (should) take you directly to the article, but could be blocked by your firewall, as it was with mine, (until you unblock active-X & script blocking as I did), then it works.
