Hello! I'm doing a Spanish-English translation and some of it is lost on me! An event that happened in Spanish (or could be Latin American) history which I'm not aware of. The article is 'La otra cara de la globalizacion' by Alejandro Llano. If anyone could help shed some light I would be most grateful!
Does anyone know what event he's referring to? Or where I might go to find this out?
Thank you!

I dont know much about Latin American history. I just can tell you that it looks like a scene in a military camp of university revolutionary forces.
It sounds interesting, though. Good luck with it.

Hi,
I happen to fall on your question.
I was in the Campamento del Robledo, north of Madrid, in 1968 when, during a field lesson on how to use the "bazooka" or lanzagranadas, the captain presented a shell that did not have the propeller removed (although it had the explosive removed) Someone pulled the trigger and one of the milicia students, just behind the lanzagranadas, had his head severed from the body. From then on, training with "bazookas" was extremely restrictive.
That is the evnt your sentence is referring to.
Best regards,
