hola people.. i have just started learning spanish... is it a hard language to learn?..is it tricky? what do you lot think?..i have started using the "before you know it spanish language program"..it seems like a good program to learn with..cuz you can click on the words and hear them being pronounced..i will give it my best shot anyway...lol... does any one else use it??

it takes a long long time if you do it right. It's no harder than learning German, and only a little bit tricky.

I've been studying Spanish for four years, and am just getting enough confidence to fluently communicate using very bad grammar.

But I'm keeping at it. I think that's the key...practice, practice, practice.

hey rebrites... thanks for the advice.!!.. 4 years you say?..well i will try my best you know.. it will be a bit more easy though for me [hopefully..lol] cuz my girl friend is spanish..so she could help me a lot, she speaks english fluently as well so thats even better.!! thanks.!!

Having a Spanish girlfriend who speaks fluent english is the worst thing possible.

It is ideal for relying on her to talk for you, and is a major disadvantage in my opinion.

I also know other people who had major problems because their partner spoke fluent English. Best of luck though, it can be hard at times and can drive you nuts at other times, but you will get there in the end.

I am 1 year into learning and i can cover most of the basics.

i agree 100% with deano.

however, my gal is spanish and she speaks english pretty well but we always speak in spanish since it is more comfortable for both of us, after all, we are in spain.
