I've got news for you! I have become a 'tortillera' only a couple of days ago!!!
Ever since, by mere coincidence, I've discovered the secret to make perfect tortillas every time ....it's so simple that I can't imagine why I haven't thought of using this method for 32 years, and I can't believe my mum and at least half of Spain doesn't either....(Anyone curious?)

Irene make a pretty good tortilla, but share, share, share!

Aside from voltage with some electronics is the old PAL vs. NTSC issue. A VCR and TV from the states won't work here. Tapes brought from the US can be easily played in a lot of new VCRs in Europe that have NTSC playback, though. As for bringing DVDs there is the problem of region codes - ones from the US won't play in a standalone DVD player purchased in Europe, unless you shell out some cash for a regionless player. Or hack your computers DVD player to free the region code.
Being from the south I can't seem to find two of my favorites in Sevilla - a decent bbq sauce in or hot dog chili!
